Pete Tarsi's charming Young Adult novel "Flipping the Scales" centers around mermaids and some beachgoing humans they encounter when they venture onto land one summer, so this site naturally lent itself to a sand-and-sea visual motif. CSS3 animations provided a method of adding some fun aquatic life to the proceedings, including a new spin on the ominipresent Facebook and Twitter logos on the Contact page. A shout-out to Actionuser for their ingenious Photoshop Action which makes it simple to turn book cover and spine art into a convincing 3D book image.
